CARBONE LORRAINE carbon brushes have proven
performance on both high-speed turbines
and water wheel generators.
For high-speed steam turbines (3,600RPM),
grade LFC554
provides unequalled performance on all makes
of equipment - General Electric, Westinghouse,
GEC, ABB etc. The outstanding qualities
of this grade are minimal
degree of selective action and long brush
life.

For
water wheel generators, CARBONE LORRAINE brushes
have been successfully used globally for many
years on all makes of equipment. Grades
WA10 and WL10
are the Westinghouse approved standards and grade
L1 for General Electric. For silicone insulated
units grade M44A
provides excellent life and performance.
WIND POWER GENERATION
|
More and more countries are turning to
renewable power
sources for the future and the
market is rapidly expanding. Groupe CARBONE LORRAINE, following our on-going strategy
and commitment to
protection of the
environment, has been involved
with Wind Power projects for quite a few
years. We have developed innovative products
for this industry.
Graphite materials
such as M8295 have been developed to extend
brush life, improve friction properties,
stability, current distribution and to
function under severe conditions including
salty atmospheres.
In order to provide a package solution,
Groupe CARBONE LORRAINE was also invested
substantially in developing Slip-Ring
assemblies using carbon or Bronze rings
as well as holders at Pressure
Systems. Using graphite as the
ring material, the benefits are:

Net weight of the slip ring can be reduced.
· Corrosion free
· Life
· Excellent no load and very low
current operation
· High peripheral speeds
· Low operating cost. |
